Today is Maundy Thursday. Maundy is the ceremony of washing the feet of the poor, especially commemorating Jesus’ washing of His disciples’ feet. What a picture this is in my mind. Jesus knows he is about to go to the cross for us. And he paints this picture through washing of the feet, of making us clean. Not only as an illustration about what he is about to do for us but also as a reminder about what we are to do for each other. We are to serve one another, love on one another and point each other to the one did it first – Jesus.
Do you fully realize that Jesus is about to wash you of your sin? He has washed you of your sin. How can we respond to that? How can we take this gift and give it to others? Think about how God is cleansing your own heart, how he is shaping your life and what he has given you to love on others.
Lord, we are ready to be used by you. We know you have washed us clean and we are sorry that we keep forgetting! We surrender and we thank you.

Chris Tomlin – At the Cross (Love Ran Red)
[Verse 1]
There’s a place where mercy reigns and never dies
There’s a place where streams of grace flow deep and wide
Where all the love I’ve ever found
Comes like a flood
Comes flowing down
[Chorus]
At the cross
At the cross
I surrender my life
I’m in awe of You
I’m in awe of You
Where Your love ran red
And my sin washed white
I owe all to You
I owe all to You Jesus
[Verse 2]
There’s a place where sin and shame are powerless
Where my heart has peace with God and forgiveness
Where all the love I’ve ever found
Comes like a flood
Comes flowing down
[Chorus]
At the cross
At the cross
I surrender my life
I’m in awe of You
I’m in awe of You
Where Your love ran red
And my sin washed white
I owe all to You
I owe all to You Jesus
