  • We are grateful, I hope, amidst our 3-day weekend outings, our BBQ gatherings and our fun-filled plans on Memorial Day weekend. We remember, I hope, that this day is so much more than these things, that men and woman have given their lives for the freedoms we get to enjoy. And, perhaps, through our gratefulness, our rememberence and our support our kids will learn what an important day this really is.

  • We were playing outside with our kids last weekend and my son was blowing a bubble. It was a beautiful day, the sun was shining, a few clouds in the sky and just a nice, subtle breeze. • Oh no. This week I had a moment of conviction. Shoot. I hate when this happens. I got a subtle reminder that there is a pride that lives in all of us. It is kind of a cool thing and I had worked hard on my submission for this project. One gal made a comment about how she was shocked she was chosen since she had just spent two seconds and submitted at the last minute.

  • I love bringing my kids on little local trips that feel like a big vacation. One thing I love about it specifically is that my stress level is so much less. Packing a car and driving a couple hours is just easy, and more affordable than flying. The great thing about living in the beautiful Pacific Northwest is that there are so many easy trips. And, NOW….YOU CAN SAVE MONEY ON THEM with the SPIRIT e-Auction.
