We are thankful for the men and women who have sacrificed so much and fought for our freedom. Will you join SPIRIT and recognize some of our local Military Heroes? Today we are recognizing Roger Brosemer. Take a look at the entry that was written to us from his wife, Nancy:
My husband, Roger Brosemer was in the Air Force during the Vietnam War. This is a picture of the last time he tried his uniform jacket on before he passed away this year. He spent almost 24 years in the Air Force. Due to being exposed to Agent Orange he was diagnosed with multiple health problems. He lost his life due to being treated for these health problems. He was and is the bravest man I have ever known. He once told me that he was picked up by a chopper to go to another base as his job was to travel base to base making sure each base had working power, machines, heat, and running airports & runways. The pilot said I have to drop you off here and come back for you. So the pilot dropped Roger in a field with tall grass in the middle of the Vietnam War! The pilot said, ‘I will be back to get you.’ For hours Roger sat in that field humped down and praying the enemy would not come upon him considering the helicopter was well visible when it landed. Hours later, that pilot came back and picked him up. It was God that kept him safe that night and for every night thereafter.
SPIRIT 105.3 would like to thank GEICO for helping us recognize Military Heroes.
