Labor Day Weekend: I’m not going to let this holiday slip by without celebrating YOU. Reminding you that your day-in-and-day-out contributions matter… even if you feel like no one sees or notices what you do.
The fact is, you work hard every single day of your life. Weekdays, weekends and holidays. Especially holidays! How else does the BBQ meal end up on the table? Or the lawn ends up mowed? And school supplies don’t just buy themselves and end up in backpacks properly labeled.
Don’t you find it just a tiny bit ironic that the one day designed to recognize our work (both in the home and out of the home) falls on one of the busiest days for YOU?
So if you already know you’ll be up at the crack of dawn on Monday, I hope the sunrise greets you with this reminder:
“Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters, since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving.” Colossians 3:23-24
