About the Documentary:
‘Saved for a Reason’ is a 62-minute documentary that chronicles the amazing true story of the King’s High School (Shoreline, WA) boys’ basketball team. On February 14, 2015, the team was heading back to campus late at night with a district championship trophy in hand and their sights set on the upcoming state tournament. Disaster struck when their bus overturned at high speed coming off the interstate. Incredibly, 10 players and coaches on the bus all would walk out of area hospitals before morning without any life-threatening injuries. The team would continue its quest to avenge heartbreaking state championship game losses in 2013 and 2014, only now with a much different perspective on life and what their priorities would be. This film tells this unforgettable story through the lens of the players and coaches that experienced it first-hand.
