All of a sudden I have a craving for a Cadbury egg. Sandi, welcome to SPIRIT 105.3. How you doing?
Sandi:
I am great, Erica. How are you doing?
Erica:
Well, I couldn’t be better. I’m super excited about EGGstravaganza, coming to Northshore Christian Church this weekend. What’s going to be happening, Sandi?
Sandi:
Oh, we are chocked full of fun things. We’ve got dinosaur crew northwest coming with amazing, practically life-sized dinosaurs walking around the whole campus. That’ll be awesome. And we have egg hunts for all ages throughout the day. We have a carnival for kids. We have a preschool egg experience where they have sensory bins and all kinds of fun stuff, food trucks, bounce houses, cotton, candy, you name it. We’re going to have fun.
Erica:
That is absolutely amazing. But I have to go back to the dinosaurs because that sounds like a really fun photo opp. What do they do? Do they walk around? Do they hunt for Easter eggs?
Sandi:
Well, it’s this amazing organization that comes in. They have a cage that they bring their dinosaurs in, and then they allow them to walk around and interact with the kids, and the kids get to feed the dinosaurs. They have an experience where they get to do an expedition and look for bones. There’s a dance party. It’s all kinds of fun.
Erica:
I mean, this Saturday you can dance with dinosaurs!
Sandi:
Absolutely.
Erica:
This is awesome. Why do you all go out for Easter at Northshore? Why is this close to your heart?
Sandi:
Well, I mean, it’s our mission and our goal to just really support our community and allow them to have an experience where they can come together. Everything is free and it’s just a ton of fun, and so it really invites people to our campus, and we’re hoping that they come back for Easter services on Sunday, the following Sunday, and yeah, we just like to invite people in.
Erica:
That’s so beautiful. Sandi, what would you say to somebody who hasn’t been to church in a long time? What are they going to experience when they come to Northshore?
Sandi:
They are going to experience a community who loves them, who welcomes them no matter what. Who wants to introduce them to the greatest hope that we have in that Jesus Christ.
Erica:
Oh, you are just absolutely wonderful. Thank you for taking the time to hang out with us today, Sandi, and happy Easter time to you.
Sandi:
Thank you, Erica. You too.
