I love this time of year, when we’re able to get outside and get dirty. If you like to garden you probably have some dirt under your fingernails right now. Do you remember when you planted your first seed? Were you so excited for it to sprout that you ran outside the next morning only to discover there were no signs of growth? Were you so discouraged that you said, “That’s it, I’m done” and walked away never to tend to your garden again? I don’t think so. You trusted that with proper fertilization and faithfully watering, your garden would eventually bear fruit…or veggies.
Our prayers are similar. Think of it this way, with each prayer to God, we are planting a seed and by faithfully praying and trusting God, our prayers can take root. See if you can find just one minute each day and pray. Ask God for what you need, or give Him thanks for what you’ve been blessed with. We can achieve awesome things when we truly put our faith in Him.
