It’s not an everyday occurrence for a partial solar eclipse to come our way, but one may be viewable Thursday afternoon. At about 1:30 pm Pacific time the moon will begin a seemingly slow pass between the sun and the Earth, which will peak about 3:00 pm.
Given the cloudy, rainy weather this week, we may not able to see much detail. But if you do venture your eyes skyward avoid the potential eye-damaging temptation to look at the sun unless you have “solar protective” glasses or welders goggles.
Just another opportunity to marvel at God’s creation, providing heat, light, and gravitational balance that’s just right for this beautiful home we know as Earth.
