Were you shivering during that game the Hawks played the Vikings? I was just watching it on TV. You know, the last two games had their own kind of crazy. Crazy cold in Minnesota, and the week before, crazy fun on the home field.
Our Seahawks are fun to watch.
Playoffs are underway. Our guys in blue & green have often taken us on a rollercoaster ride of emotion through their match ups. You have to admit there are some pretty awesome athletic moments, even when it seems everything else is going wrong.
What’s also touching to me is that many of the players & coaches don’t put their faith on a back shelf. They openly express their gratefulness to play football for a living, acknowledging there’s a much bigger picture than this moment in time. That shows in their attitude, especially when a game goes sideways. They don’t seem to let the last game dictate their attitude, they move on and prepare for the next game.
I think there’s a life lesson we can take from the Seahawks. Yes, “bad plays” or injuries will intersect our lives. Some take more time to heal than others. But, there comes a point we need to recognize it’s time to move ahead … to leave the past in the past and not be anchored to it. Lining up on the scrimmage line of our next chapter in life may take some courage.
You and I are in the game of our lives… let’s make some big plays!
Are you in?
