Mikki is a dear friend and someone I had the privilege of working with here, and she and her husband Jason open up about the unexpected arrival of their son, Wyatt, who was born at just 28 weeks and weighed only two and a half pounds. What followed was a 114-day NICU stay filled with challenges, including an emergency C-section, a frightening appendicitis diagnosis for Mikki, and countless moments that required faith, strength, and perseverance.
Through it all, they leaned on God, family, friends, and the incredible medical team caring for Wyatt. Today, their little miracle is thriving, growing beyond expectations, and reminding everyone around him that even in the hardest seasons, hope can shine brightly. Their story is a powerful testimony of God’s faithfulness, the strength of a loving community, and the resilience of one very special little boy.
