With the current devastation from the Spokane wildfires, families are suddenly finding themselves in need and unsure of where to turn. The local church often becomes a place of refuge, hope, and practical support. We have some churches that are stepping up to help affected individuals and families through acts of generosity, providing resources, encouragement, prayer, and community during an incredibly difficult time.
If you have lost your home or have been impacted by recent events, please know that you are not alone. While the road ahead may feel overwhelming, God sees your needs, knows your fears, and walks with you through every uncertain moment. The Church is a community of people called to love, serve, and care for one another, especially in times of crisis.
As churches throughout the area work together to support those in need, we encourage anyone seeking assistance to reach out to local faith communities. Whether you need practical help, a listening ear, or simply someone to pray with you, there are people who want to stand beside you during this season.
The loss of a home can be devastating, but it does not diminish your value, your hope, or your future. God remains faithful in the midst of hardship, and even in the darkest circumstances, His presence can bring comfort, strength, and peace.
A Prayer for Those Impacted
Heavenly Father,
We lift up every person and family who has lost their home or been displaced. Surround them with Your peace and comfort during this difficult time. Provide for their physical needs, strengthen them emotionally and spiritually, and place caring people in their path to support them. We thank You for every church, volunteer, and community member offering help and hope. Remind those who are hurting that they are loved, seen, and never alone.
In Jesus’ name, amen. ❤️
