Lindsay Gagnon oversees the Snohomish and Monroe cold weather shelters, and she sat down with Erica about the challenges of mobilizing volunteers and ensuring supplies were ready, and the new site in Monroe. There are increasing struggles for people experiencing homelessness, many of whom have jobs but cannot afford rent. The shelters provide meals, winter wear, laundry services, and connection to social workers and year-round services.
