Dear Gardner Roofing,
My Mom, who is the sweetest woman in the world and has really run into a series of unfortunate events. She is on a fixed income, recently retired last year when my Dad died, her roof has been terrible for years (it’s a half pitched, half flat roof and the pitched part was repaired but that company wouldn’t fix the flat part because she couldn’t afford to do it) we actually got up there ourselves and tarred the flat roof for a
few years and it seemed to be holding up until a giant hole opened up under the flat part in her bathroom. At first the hole was thankfully over the bathtub, then expanded deeper into the bathroom, now that the rain has come back full force she literally has buckets everywhere collecting the rainwater. Her home owners insuranced refuse to help, and since the rain has been pouring the outlets on that side of the house have shorted out so her outside freezer and inside fridge died. On another note all 6 of her chickens were killed by racoons last week right before the roof and the fridges gave out!!! What luck right???
Since the first wave of Covid-19 the place I was working for had shut down and I had to apply for unemployment which was a struggle, then I opened up my own business (I am a licensed massage therapist of the last 18 years) and since we are essential workers I am able to continue to practice, but with everything going on I feel like we are just barely treading water and my poor mom is really struggling to stay positive about living.
Please consider us for a new roof for my mom, it would really completely change our world!
Blessings,
Esther Utley
