Right now, life seems like it’s been turned upside-down. News headlines are more distressing by the hour, events are being canceled, schools are shutting down, and there’s no toilet paper left at Costco!
But in the middle of all that, we want to remind you that God has not changed. He is still our hope and He is in control. He knows what’s going on and He sees you, right where you are, right now! He loves you!
In Joshua 1:9, the Lord says:
“Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the LORD your God will be with you wherever you go.”
In the first nine verses of Joshua, the Lord says to be “strong and courageous” three times. Joshua needed to hear these words more than once. He was, like all the heroes and heroines in the Bible, incredibly human. When faced with enormous challenges, he was afraid … just like we are.
The challenge we face today is COVID-19 and all the ramifications it brings. God knows that we are anxious, and even afraid. But there is hope!
Jesus knows exactly how you feel. He has experienced all that you (and we) are feeling, too! He understands and wants to walk with you through it.
Today, if you feel overwhelmed, remember this … Jesus is right there with you. And so are we!
