Her name is Melissa Helser, and perhaps you know her best for the song “Raise A Hallelujah” which she sings with her husband Jonathan. Dealing with a chronic health condition, Melissa talks about how she “worships her way through it,” and why there is power when we join together and sing.
Her new song is “Revivals in the Air,” which she wrote as her brother was struggling with addiction. She was sitting in her living room, playing her ukelele and worshipping, asking God to help her brother humble himself and ask for help. As she was praying, she received a text from her brother that said, “I made the call. I’m going to get help.” She began singing, “I can feel redemption in the wind…” and that’s how this song was born. She could feel the presence of the Lord fill the room.
