For a minute there, we had changed the secret sound afternoon guessing time. But, we’re changing it back. We are back to our usual guessing times starting 10/29. You can guess at 8:30am, 12:30pm and 3:30pm.
Plus, something incredible happened. There are so many of you calling in (162,000!) to guess the secret sound that our phones have broken! As a result, we have a new contest phone number rolling out immediately: 206-333-1053. Update that speed dial!

Here are some of our best tips to make sure you get through to guess.
- Tune in for all 3 daily contest times: 8:30a, 12:30p, and 3:30p (Don’t forget you can listen on our Website or via the mobile app if you are on the go!)
- Program the contest phone number into your phone: 206-333-1053 so you can quickly dial!
- Check all the guesses on our Secret Sound page. Bookmark this! You can also get guesses by texting GUESS to 89419.
- Wait until the DJ gives the cue to call. The contest line is not open until they say, “It’s time to play!” (The contest line is cleared so you cannot call early. If the phone gives you a busy signal or a weird message it means the phones are super busy. Keep trying!!)
- Listen to the sound each time it’s played. The more you hear it, the better chance you have to guess it correctly! (Note: You can only listen to it by tuning it!)
- Share the contest times with friends, coworkers, and family. The more people on your team, the more chances you might be the right caller. Who knows? Maybe you can make a deal to split the Piggy Bank if you guess correctly
- Join the SPIRIT Secret Sound Text club to find out about BONUS Chances to win. Text “SOUND” to 89419.
- Keep that radio dial on SPIRIT 105.3. You never know when a DJ might give a little hint. Just today Erica shared it has nothing to do Hockey. Not a thing.
