Happy Birthday to the nearly 5 million people who celebrate a birthday on February 29th. Are you one of them?
Have you ever thought about why leap year exists? The Earth takes 365.24 days to make a complete cycle around the sun. Therefore, the world is out of sync with the calendar every 4 years. Adding the extra day at the end of February every year helps keep our calendar on track with the Earth.
Interestingly, without the extra day every 4 years, today would be July 28, 2013.

- It is the one day women were allowed to propose to men. And, men, you can’t refuse or you will need to give a gift to soften the blow!
