When I heard about the incredible meal being offered (three times!) at Westgate Chapel this Thanksgiving, a verse from the book of Matthew immediately popped into my heart:
“For I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me drink, I was a stranger and you welcomed me, I was naked and you clothed me, I was sick and you visited me, I was in prison and you came to me”.
This verse describes how acts of charity toward other people are seen as acts of service to Jesus himself.
If you are in need of a hot meal and community this Thanksgiving, please, come and be fed and refreshed.
And if you are looking for a way to serve and give back, over 500 volunteers are needed!
