Exceptional Teacher: Lorie Smith

She is my mom, and she has been homeschooling us before the pandemic. She teaches me (7th) and my brother (2nd grade). She’s very kind andpatient with both of us, even though we’re hard to deal with a lot of the time. She makes my brothers learn hands on, and our dining room is our classroom. She has put up a huge word wall that covers every square inch of space. She is the most amazing teacher I’ve ever had, and we are very grateful for her. We would not be doing as good in our work if she hasn’t taught us how she has. I love school because of how she has taught me.

I know she’s my mom, but she’s also a very good teacher. She has taught me from the second grade, and my brother from kindergarten. I am so grateful for her. She works super hard to be our mom and our teacher.
