Hello Potential Home Buyers,
My name is Rosemarie and you need not search any further for someone to help you with the purchase of your home or refinancing. You have come to the right place. This is my personal journey and experience.
My experience began at about 2:00 AM one sleepless night. I had SPIRIT 105.3 playing when a commercial came on for Fellowship Home Loans.
I called the next day.
Kevin Blaney one of the Loan Officers/Branch Manager answered the phone and we began to talk.
By the end of the conversation I was left with the feeling of “This is just to good to be true!” A couple days passed and I called SPIRIT 105.3 and asked for their marketing department. Before considering moving forward with Fellowship Home Loans I needed to make sure they were a “legitimate” company. I spoke with the head of marketing and she assured me that they were. When I told her I thought they were to good to be true she laughed and told me that they get calls just about everyday asking the same question.
I called Kevin back and we began the process to refinance my home.
Even though I have worked my entire life, never missed a payment, had a near perfect credit score and was considering retirement after working 40 years as a nurse I could not find a company that would work with me. I had pretty much given up hope.
An unexpected illness a few years back left me no choice but to file bankruptcy even after trying consumer credit counseling. I was devastated and felt humiliated.
I was very skeptical and up front with Kevin right from the beginning as I didn’t want to waste his time or mine figuring his answer would be the same as the others in the first 5 minutes of the conversation.
Much to my surprise Kevin took the time to investigate further. He said he would see what he could do and call me back in a couple of days. I just smiled to myself and honestly never expected a call back.
Much to my SHOCK and surprise Kevin called back.
He said “I think we can help you” and the process to refinancing began.
The deeper into the process we went the more overwhelmed I seemed to become. It was a huge undertaking for me along with everything else I had going on.
I remember one evening I called him completely freaking out! So much so that I forgot all about the time difference between coasts. He was 3 hours ahead of me. Kevin was at HOME with his family. Then I felt REALLY AWFUL, apologized and said I would call back the next day. Kevin took into account my distress and said look, I don’t want you to go to bed so upset, lets talk. He took time away from his family to make sure I was okay and answered the questions and concerns I had.
Let’s face it, when was the last time a loan officer did something like that for you?
Oh ya, did I forget to mention they give you their home number, work and fax?
I had a lot of complicating factors with my application process and it was a very stressful time in my life, involving other issues. Kevin was always straight forward and encouraging. He took it all in stride. Kevin was very patient, calm and redirected as necessary to keep things moving forward. I always felt that everything Kevin was to do the right thing by me and what was in my best interest. HE NEVER GAVE UP ON ME!
As a matter of fact the bank that held my mortgage at the time and that I had banked at for the past 17 plus years made me a refinance offer (after declining me previously) after hearing I was planning on refinancing with FHL. I was up front with Kevin and shared the information with him. After all the time and effort Kevin had already taken with me I really felt bad. Kevin told me that as much as he wanted to do business with me, the offer my bank had proposed was in my best interest and it would benefit me the most and that is what it is all about. Kevin couldn’t have been more understanding, supportive and encouraging.
Kevin said he is in the business of doing the right thing and he answers to God for all his business decisions, and he wished me well.
I took Kevin’s advise, called my bank and informed them I would like to take advantage of the offer they proposed with refinancing my home because I had a long standing history already with their company. The SAME loan officer at my bank that I had spoken to the day before DENIED ever making me the offer! Need I say how I felt!?
Later that day I called Kevin from Fellowship Home Loans and explained what had happened with my bank.
Kevin simply said that he was sorry I had that experience and to not worry about anything, everything happens for a reason!
Please realize, potential home buyer! Kevin worked with me through a 2 1/2 month process every step of the way!
Fellowship Home Loans is a direct lender. The employees work on a salary basis, not a commission basis.
Kevin even went to the Founders of Fellowship Home Loans (Mike and Brian) and shared my dilemma with them and they really stepped up on my behalf. That is the kind of CLOSE relationship this company fosters.
In the end Kevin was right!
Everything will work out as it should.
He made my DREAM come true!
I have a bright future ahead.
I will never be sold to another company.
My interest rate went from 5.75% to 3.875 %. Setting me up very nicely for retirement.
With taxes and insurance included (they weren’t before) my monthly mortgage payment is about $50.00 more a month then I was paying previously.
HOW AWESOME IS THAT!
Potential Home Buyers, you can stop searching for a company with integrity and a staff you can trust. Look no further, you are in the right place! NO, they are NOT too good to be true. Happy Home Ownership!
My sincere thank you to ALL the Fellowship Home Loans Staff.with the money you saved me.
