Kathleen Smahel submitted a story for SPIRIT 105.3’s Home for the Holidays contest. She would like to spend time with her parents and help out around the house as they are getting into their older years. Congratulations Gena, you’ll be flying to Minneapolis for Christmas!

I would like to go home to be with my family. My mom and dad are having a harder time getting around and after my mom’s hip surgery last Oct., and 3 brain aneurysm’s, and her knee needs surgery but they don’t think she would make it if she had to go through that, and now dad’s painful back, I’d like to spend Christmas with them, helping her get a new hearing aid, and making dinner and spending time with them, and sis and brother. I pray for them to be around many more years! This would be a true blessing! Amen!
