Some conversations just stick with you, and this was one of them. When Paul called asking the SPIRIT 105.3 family to pray for baby Ava, my heart immediately went out to her parents. If you’ve ever watched someone you love go through something you can’t fix, you know that feeling of wanting to do something, anything, to help. That’s why I love how prayer brings us together and points us to the God who is with us in every hard moment. Will you pray for baby Ava today and ask God to do immeasurably more than we can ask or imagine?

A Prayer for Ava
Oh, Father, we just come to you in the mighty name of Jesus, in the powerful, matchless, incomparable name of Jesus. You raised your friend Lazarus from the dead, you rose from the dead. God, right now, we stand together united saying, “We know nothing is impossible for you.” And we are pleading for baby Ava’s life. Lord, I just looked up the meaning of Ava in Hebrew. It means life. God, we just pray life over this precious child who you knit together in her mama Stephanie’s womb. We believe you have a plan and a purpose for Ava. We believe that healing is completely possible and we’re asking you to do a miracle. And in the midst of this, God, would you just surround Kelly and Stephanie and the boys and Ava too with a peace that cannot be explained, Lord Jesus, that they would know it’s you? It would be undeniable.
And Lord, I want to pray over Paul too, that you would use him in this time, this sensitive, tender time, that God, you would speak through him to this family, that they would feel your love from him and just from the presence of your Holy Spirit. It’s in Jesus’ mighty name we pray. Amen.
