We Love Kent began in 2020 when Matt Rourke looked at a global pandemic and thought, “Yep—this is still a great time to love our city.” Inspired by We Love Our City, the movement exists to reach, love, restore, and champion neighbors who often get overlooked. Since then, they’ve helped distribute over 70 million pounds of food, cleaned up local blocks, supported schools, and built food pantries—proof that faith works best with sleeves rolled up.
