What Happens When a Bunch of Women Get Together to Laugh?

For a long time I struggled with the fact that God is enjoyable and that he has such delight in us. He actually created us to delight in us. It is around this idea of delight that the concept for our women’s event was born. What if we got a bunch of women together, had some comedy, talked about God and focused on being delighted in and with God? What would happen?

Psalm 18:19 – He led me to a place of safety; he rescued me because he delights in me.

Zephaniah 3:17 – For the Lord your God is living among you. He is a mighty savior. He will take delight in you with gladness. With his love, he will calm all your fears. He will rejoice over you with joyful songs.

It is not every day that you feel the spirit of God so profoundly as I did among the women at the Snacks & Good Company LIVE event. The team at Evergreen Church in Bothell prayed alongside us for this event from the beginning and the spirit of God answered that prayer so beautifully. The energy in the room was alive as women came to simply enjoy life together. We don’t have to strive all the day. We don’t have to be serious all the time.

God is a God of laughter and joy. This event reminded me of that.

You know, as women, as moms, as daughters, as wives, we often forget it’s good to stop and laugh. We hope, like us, you found this event a refreshing moment to do just that. God loves you. He delights in you. What could be more glorious?
