One family in Everett received a gift you can’t wrap this Christmas. But if you could, the label would say: “It’s gonna be okay.” Tunnel to Towers is a nonprofit which was started to honor Stephen Siller, a brave New York City firefighter who lost his life in a selfless effort to save others on 9/11. And that organization has taken a huge burden off the shoulders of Kelli Rocha… they just paid off her house. In March of this year, Kelli’s husband Officer Daniel Rocha lost his life in the line of duty. Now the mother of his children can take a deep breath this holiday season. Kelli and her sons can live on in their home in Stanwood, and make new memories this Christmas, even as they honor the ones they made with their husband and dad.
John Huvane from Tunnel to Towers is our special guest today. Join John and Erica for a conversation that will inspire you today.
We want to hear about the people and businesses you know doing good work and truly Catching the Spirit of kindness in the community. You can tell us about them here!
