It’s not every day you hear the story of a child giving up their own birthday to help someone else. That is exactly what Narin and Erol have done. They share a birthday three years apart and this year they decided to do something a little different. Erol told us at first he really wanted to invite all his friends and have a big birthday, but then when he and his sister started thinking about it more, they realized they were lucky to have a house, food on the table, a school to go to and so many other comforts of modern day life. Realizing this made them decide to have a birthday party and collect backpacks for those in need.
We invited them to the studio today to share their story and Scott Carty asked more about the inspiration behind their heart for giving. Listen to what they said.
