Weekdays 5:00 am – 10:00 am
About Scott Carty:
You can hear Scott Carty every weekday morning 6am – 10am. Scott never thought he’d end up on a Contemporary Christian Music station. “The idea of it seemed pretty intimidating,” he says. “But that washed away fast when I really looked at this as a chance to make a difference in someone else’s life.”
Scott was raised in the small town of Freeland, Washington, on Whidbey Island and has called Western Washington home since 1975. Away from the microphone, he keeps entertained and on his toes by his two kids. He also loves to travel!
Scott is ready to meet you on-air for an entertaining and inspiring start to your day!
“Darkness in our world is way too easy to experience. It’s everywhere you turn. My hope is that we can bring some light to the lives of our listeners—to give them a reason to laugh, to inspire them to make a difference in their community and to focus on what really matters.”
“My journey in faith seemed really unique, to me. But I’ve come to realize, it’s a pretty common one – going from having doubts to feeling empty; from having questions to not finding answers; from knowing there’s hope to actually experiencing it.”
“I can share deep thoughts and get really personal—and you’ll probably hear me do that a lot. I’m man enough to admit that I cry. But the thing I love most in life is having fun with friends and family. There’s nothing greater than a good laugh, especially if it helps put the tough stuff into perspective. So, buckle up for some fun to start your day…but keep the Kleenex handy.”
About Erica Parkerson:
Erika’s motto in life is Churchill’s, “NEVAH, NEVAH, NEVAH give up!” She has 2 kids who can both vote and a red-headed husband, dreams of seeing whales in real life and a love for Hallmark. It was at age 16 that Erika discovered God at St. Patrick’s, a little church with the most beautiful stained glass windows. He’s the best friend she’s ever had.
Erica grew up in New York, raised by a loving Italian family on meatballs and macaroni and good stories. She spent the last 20 years in the Carolinas and Virginia, but the Pacific Northwest is the most beautiful place she’s ever seen! In fact, Sleepless in Seattle was the first movie her and her husband ever saw together!
You can count on Erika for:
- A super fun mug and a bright outlook for the day ahead
- A little “ya’ll” now and again
- A lot of emojis
