When Nicole Grimes was 10, all she wanted for Christmas was a puppy. Grandma surprised her with a Pomeranian-poodle named Chloe that year.
She was wearing a pink bow when Nana gave her to me,” remembers Nicole. “We were best friends.”
That sweet friendship came to a screeching halt four years later when Nicole’s dad began working from home. Dad couldn’t have Chloe yapping away when he was on business calls. Nicole recalls that fateful day… “My dad picked me up from school when I was 14 with the dog in the back seat. I knew we had to give her away.”
Chloe remained a dog lover. Now a grown woman, she recently went on social media to find a new best friend. She was drawn to an 11 year old dog named Chloe.
When the two were introduced, it was more like a reunion. Chloe ran to Nicole and licked her face. The grownup doggie’s microchip confirmed the miracle… Chloe was Nicole’s childhood best friend.
“She is a little smaller and has no teeth, but she still loves to run around,” Nicole reports.
Over the last seven years, Chloe was loved by an elderly couple who cared for her until they passed away. Now, Chloe is bonding with Nicole’s daughter, in a circle of pure puppy love.
