While most 3- year- olds in the Pacific Northwest are visiting Santa and decorating cookies this Christmas, Tavish McCosh is in the middle of nine months of chemo.
The McCosh family’s house is in Ellensburg, but right now, home is the Ronald McDonald House in Seattle. There, LOVE is taking the sting out of Leukemia.
Tavish, everyone quickly discovered, gets a kick out of checking the mailbox at the Ronald Mcdonald House. More often than not, it was empty until his mommy and daddy asked their Facebook friends if they’d send Tavish a Christmas card. Their sweet request was shared about 25,000 times.
Hundreds of cards and gifts flooded the mailbox at the Ronald McDonald House here in the Emerald City. Folks from as far away as Florida, New York, Nebraska, Michigan, Kansas, and Texas sent love mail.
Tavish and his mommy and daddy are happy to share their blessings with the other kids who are calling the Ronald McDonald House in Seattle home this Christmas.
