Imagine if something in your life that you’ve been struggling with for six years could be fixed in thirty-seconds. And the solution came from a regular visit to the dentist.
Six-year-old Mason Motz had spent his entire life on the quiet side, struggling to verbally communicate. His parents told CBS News that they thought it was the result of a brain aneurysm their son experienced at just 10 days of age, leaving him with poor enunciation and a lifetime of barely speaking.
But when Mason visited his dentist to get some cavities fixed, Dr. Amy Luedemann-Lazar declared Mason was tongue tied.
No, really. Looking under his tongue, she saw it was restricted by tissue that prevented Mason’s tongue from allowing him to talk.
With a laser and just a 30-second procedure, Dr. Luedemann-Lazar was able to provide “life changing” results.
His Dad Dalan told CBS “this wasn’t on our path. Our path was we need to get his teeth better.”
What a great and unexpected result.
Now Mason is as chatty as you’d expect a six year old to be. And his family loves it!
