(Seattle, WA) Nine year old, Delayne, from Seattle, WA has been recognized as a SPIRIT 105.3 “Superstar Kid.”
Delayne has a big heart for serving others. She donates her time every Sunday from 2-4:30pm to feed the homeless in a Des Moines parking lot. She passes out sandwiches and even sacrifices her own shoes and clothes to kids who need them. Although she gives up time to have fun with her friends, it does not bother her because she loves praying for and serving others.
Delayne’s heart for serving comes from a tough childhood of having both parents struggle with addiction. Delayne and her mom Jenn both found hope through the Seattle Union Gospel Mission. Her mom’s life has completely transformed and she is now two years sober! After seeing how God has changed her mom’s life, Delayne hopes to help others find that same freedom.
Delayne is excited to become baptized this month and continue the call that God has placed in her life to serve and love others. It’s an honor and a privilege to recognize her as one of our “Superstar Kids.”
Take a look at her mom Jenn’s incredible story of transformation here.
