- Lots of lane closures this weekend if you plan to drive in Seattle, including Eastbound I-90 at the Mount Baker Tunnel, Spokane Street Bridge, Southbound on the Viaduct, and Everett’s Hewitt Ave Trestle. Most of the repair work starts tonight after 7 into Sunday. Full story.
- Seattle’s Community Police Commission is asking the Seattle City Council to postpone any confirmation hearings for the next police chief. The request is over “significant community concerns that a highly-qualified local candidate, and only woman candidate, was eliminated from the final pool,” the commission tweeted Thursday afternoon. - Charles Krauthammer, longtime Fox News contributor, Pulitzer Prize winner, Harvard-trained psychiatrist and best-selling author who came to be known as the dean of conservative commentators, died Thursday, after announcing his cancer diagnosis earlier this month. He was 68. Full story.
