Corporations spend millions on their mission statements, but have you defined what it is for your own life? Missionary Jim Elliott is a powerful example of a man on a mission. He said, “Only one life will soon be passed and only what’s done for Christ will last.” That is a mission. (You may be familiar with Jim Elliott from the movie End of The Spear)
Henry Blackaby, author of Experiencing God, wrote that we ought to see where God is at work in the world and then throw ourselves into that. We should find something that will outlive us. If we intentionally align ourselves with a mission it should shape everything we say and do.
An incredible idea to live every breath on mission. What is your mission statement?
