My little girl, she did just turn 2 and, it’s funny but this does get brought up a lot about talking to her about men as she grows up into a woman. The first thing, in fact it’s so funny, I have so many friends; I’m an only child, so I have a lot of friends that feel like my brothers or my sisters, and almost every single one of them will post a picture of her, and I get a text immediately that’s like “you better go buy a shotgun!”.
You know like for me though, I just, I love the way that parents really poured into me about relationships, which is just be patient, and trust that God is going to bring somebody into your life that is gonna be perfect for who you are, and He’s gonna place that person in your life. I think we live in a time right now, where it’s almost like having a relationship is just more of a forced thing? You feel like if you don’t, then you don’t have true love.
I just, I kind of want her, and I want her to realize that her worth, and the love that she has from the Lord is where she is grounded, and having Him place a man, having Him place a boy, whatever, I mean really my wife and I, we met when we were 15 so I was a boy! So maybe the Lord places a boy in her life that they get married someday, who knows! But it will come whenever the Lord decides that it’s gonna come, you know, and that finding somebody who’s grounded in their faith and who loves the Lord, and who’s gonna lead her into a path of what it looks like to be trustful in Him. That person is going to find her, and the Lord’s gonna place him in her life!
