Hidden in our own backyard is a piece of Middle Earth you’ve only thought about in your imagination. The Brothers Greenhouses, located in Port Orchard, has built a Hobbit House. The Brothers Greenhouses has been part of Kitsap since 1969 and just built Hobbit House in 2015. Purchased by Marilyn David and Cheryl Pelkey in 1996, the Brothers Greenhouses is named after the highest peak of the Olympic Mountains.
Hobbit House was built as a way to showcase some of the great plants you can purchase from the nursery. The Brothers Greenhouses also offer ideas to inspire fairy houses or miniature gardening as well. In September they have a tomato trial where you are welcome to attend tasting events. See their Facebook page for more details and to participate.
The Hobbit House has been featured on King 5, the Kitsap Sun & WestSound Home & Garden.
Plan your visit to the Hobbit House: 3200 SW Victory Dr. Port Orchard, WA. Open to the public year-round Monday-Saturday 8-5:30, Sunday 8-3:30
