A spokesperson for Vladimir Puttin said yesterday that Russia is now considering retaliation after the US kicked out dozens of Russian intelligence officers, over the suspicion that Russia hacked the November elections. Russia continues to deny the allegations and says the US needs to move on. In retaliation the Russian foreign minister is suggesting that 35 American Diplomatic personnel be kicked out of Russia.
New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio and the Police Chief made it very clear that they are not taking any chances when it comes to securing the city for its NYE celebrations. They said they are using ‘extraordinary measures’ to keep the city safe. The police chief made it clear that there are no direct concerns regarding the safety during New Years Eve. Him and mayor de Blasio are in agreement over one thing. They both think it is nuts to celebrate NYE in Times Square. Around 1 million people are expected to attend.
