Crackdown aims to keep Long Beach trash free this July Fourth—Last Fourth of July, 37 tons of trash was left on the beach. With help from Washington State Parks, they’ve created signs, banners and flyers going up on the peninsula ahead of this weekend informing people of the laws banning overnight camping on the beach.In addition to the signs, there will be increased law enforcement presence on the peninsula this July Fourth. There hope that the changes will help bring a difference this weekend and the future.
