Egyptian authorities say they’ve discovered plane debris and the personal belongings of passengers, believed to be from crash of EgyptAir flight 804. The search continues today for missing EgyptAir flight , which disappeared from the radar while carrying 66 passengers and crew from Paris to Cairo. It is not yet known what caused the crash.
Bothell High School was put on lockdown last night after a teacher was assaulted on campus. The teacher, who is 63 years old, was assaulted just after 4:15 p.m., and was taken to Harborview Medical Center for treatment. His condition is listed as ‘satisfactory.’ The district announced late yesterday that the school would remain closed on today. Police said, ‘This is an active police investigation, and as a result, Bothell High School is closed Friday. Also, because this is an active investigation, we ask that all students remain off campus tomorrow’.
Police in Bellingham are warning about a phone scam. Someone is calling people in several different counties, pretending to be the Bellingham Chief of Police and other members of his command staff. Most of the time, detectives say the caller tells the person on the other end of the line that he’s calling from the Bellingham Police Department, because they owe money for missing a jury summons.
More than 200 homeowners are complaining that the noise from the expansion joints on the new 520 Bridge is too loud. It’s especially loud when there’s not enough traffic to slow everybody down. WSDOT is looking into solutions.
