A 66-year old man is in custody after shooting at officers during an almost 5 hour standoff in Burien. The King County Sheriff’s office says the man’s sister fled the home in the 1200 Block of SW 148th and called them last night after he fired off a round in the home. The man, who the sheriff’s office says has some mental health issues, barricaded himself inside with a gun, occasionally firing through the walls at officers. Luckily no one was hurt and the man is now no longer a threat.
