The beautiful thing about God is that he cares about the little details. You don’t always know how God will provide or what his answer will be to a specific situation, but hearing stories of faith restores hope that God is bigger than any circumstance.
We hope the story of our first SPIRIT Of Giving winner will bless you.
God is SO good!. My sister and her family have been having a long financial struggle, and when I initially heard about this contest, I decided that I’d enter and bless them if I won (CAN YOU BELIEVE IT???).
So, when I called in after my name was announced, I knew for certain that God cares about every little detail. She’s been very depressed lately (Christmas will do that, no matter how hard we try and cannot bless our children in the ways we hope), so we’ve chatted very little. When I told her today, we were both in tears.
See, she thought I’d called to tell her about my cancer coming back. I found out the Wednesday before Thanksgiving, but my husband and I held off telling anyone until after the Christmas celebration. There is no reason that celebrating Christ’s birth need be diminished by worry over what we cannot control.
With the money, she will purchase items much needed to support her family, and I will save mine to pay medical bills along the way. But, you know what? This is God’s way of saying to us that although life seems overwhelming and out of control, He is always in control. He is going to take care of each of us, and this is the confirmation that He used. So, thank you. From the bottom of my heart, I thank you for your kind spirit. I am grateful for the generosity of SPIRIT 105.3. I am grateful for a God who is bigger than my present circumstances.
