It’s the time of year we start to hear the word resolution a lot. Do you have resolutions? I always try to have a few goals but I don’t always write them down or I forget them in a month or two and then by the time the next year rolls around again I haven’t gone very far. So, we are trying something a little different around here. We compiled together words and songs that will guide us in the coming year.
We hope this will provide you a little inspiration. So, tell us, what words and songs inspire you?

This year I am going to FOCUS. So, that is my 2016 word of the year.
My theme song is Fix My Eyes by for King & Country – A reminder that will help me FOCUS on what matters this year.
Give when it’s not fair
Live life for another
Take time for a brother
Fight for the weak ones
Speak out for freedom
Find faith in the battle
Stand tall but above it all
Fix my eyes on you
Sarah Taylor
For 2016 my word is Joy.
My theme song is Good, Good Father by Chris Tomlin because it reminds me of the simple basics: Who God is and who I am to Him.
You’re a Good, Good Father
It’s who you are, it’s who you are, it’s who you are
And I’m loved by you
It’s who I am, it’s who I am, it’s who I am

I want to walk through this year knowing IT’S POSSIBLE. Technically that is two words, I guess. 🙂
My theme song is Impossible by Building 429.
There is no such, no such thing
There is no such, no such thing
There is no such, no such thing as impossible
Impossible
Ana Kelly
This year I am going to dwell in his TRUTH.
My theme song is You Make Me Brave by Amanda Cook
I have heard You calling my name
I have heard the song of love that You sing
So I will let You draw me out beyond the shore
Into Your grace
Your grace
You make me brave
You make me brave
You call me out beyond the shore into the waves
You make me brave
You make me brave
No fear can hinder now the love that made a way
Rebecca Beckett
My word this year is PURPOSE. God has such a profound purpose for each of us and I hope to wrap myself in his purpose for me this year.
My theme song is Lord, I’m Ready Now by Plumb.
Oh Lord I’m ready now
All the walls are down
Time is running out
And I want to make this count
I ran away from you
And did what I wanted to
But I don’t want to let you down
Oh Lord I’m ready now
Lord I’m ready now
Paul Fredricks
My word for 2016 is CARING. Let’s love each other like Christ loves us.
My theme song for the year is This is What We’re Here For by The Afters.
This is what we’re here for.
To show the world how You love it.
This is what we’re made for.
To lay it all down like You did.
When we feel useless, You still use us.
Help us not forget.
This is what we’re here for.
This is what we’re here for.
