Seattle, WA – If the musical duo Mr. & Mrs. Something doesn’t ring a bell, you might be hearing them very soon.
To recap, in Fall 2013 group members, Benjamin “Bino” & Chelsea Peck, entered SPIRIT 105.3’s Local Music Project contest. To participate, local artists and bands submitted an original song and were voted on by listeners and their community. Weeks later they were crowned as the Local Music Project winner! As a grand prize winner, one of their prizes included mentoring from John Mays of Centricity Music! Over the year, their relationship included many Skype dates, and an artist retreat, and as their relationship with John and Centricity grew Mr. & Mrs. Something were eventually invited to Nashville to begin recording their first full length album.
Two years ago, Mr. & Mrs. Something had no way of knowing that by entering a local radio station contest they would later be living out their dreams of recording music. Bino and Chelsea feel grateful and extremely privileged to have gotten to where they are today. Their first album, Setting Sail, is set to release on November 17th. The title of the album represents the journey that got Mr. & Mrs. Something to where they are today.
Check out their website, www.mrandmrssomething.com between October 1st – 15th for a free download of the single, “What Do you See”. The public is invited to hear some of their new music at the release party at Conor Byrne in Ballard on Saturday, November 14th. And, you can catch them as the opening act at the upcoming Matt Redman concert, Sunday, October 18th at Eastridge Church in Issaquah. Tickets can be purchased here.
