Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu speaks to a joint session of Congress Today, where he is expected to denounce the Obama administration’s talks with Iran. President Obama and supporters say an agreement is the best way to prevent a nuclear-armed Iran, while Netanyahu and other Israeli officials say Iran cannot be trusted. Some congressional Democrats are boycotting the speech Today, and President Obama refuses to meet with Netanyahu while he’s in town. The two have clashed on a number of items over the years, but Netanyahu said yesterday that U.S.-Israeli ties are ‘stronger than ever.’
Costco Wholesale identified Citigroup and Visa as its new credit card partners yesterday, naming them as the corporate successors to the American Express agreement scheduled to expire next year. It’ll be the only credit payment accepted at Costco’s 474 warehouses in the U.S.
Warm winter is bringing out the tulips early at Skagit Valley Tulip Festival–Walk around the Puget Sound area and you’ll notice trees starting to bloom even though winter still has a solid 3-4 weeks. Some tulips are already budding and the earliest they’ve had tulips in full bloom in Skagit County was March 19. But this year with the warm winter? We’re probably going to break that record by at least a week.
