My dad has Biliary Tract Cancer
Reciently my dad was diagnosed with a rare form of cancer. My mom got a call at 10:30 pm last night from our doctor and it isn't very good news. There are only two doctors at St. Joe's hospital in Tacoma that would perform the surgery and neither one of them will because they are not qualified for this type of cancer. There are two doctors in Seattle that are qualified to perform this surgery. We are sending a CD of Ralphs CT and PET scans to him today and he will determine if he can remove the cancer.
We have two possible outcomes - 1) Surgery, our doctor believes it is operable, however the Seattle doctor is not as hopeful after reading tests results. He will only operate if he can get 100% of the cancer out, if he can only get 99%, he won't operate. 2) The Surgeon won't operate, Ralph will have Chemo and Radiation that will shrink the cancer, but it won't get rid it. This would would give him months to a few years, depending how long his body can handle it the only good news so far is that other then the cancer the rest of him completly healty. My dad is the most loving, giving, caring and compassionate man I've ever met. He stops on the side of the road to help anyone who needs help and asks for nothing in return. He always thinks the best of everyone no matter what others think. Please pary for him and that the doctor can help him. Thank you
