Discover Burien's Independence Day Parade
Join SPIRIT 105.3 for Discover Burien's Independence Day Parade! Now in it’s 96th year, the city of Burien’s 4th of July parade is the oldest and one of the best attended in King County.
Every year, thousands of spectators gather along the parade route in downtown Burien to see marching bands, floats, the Seafair pirates, and much more!
The parade starts at 3 p.m. and runs approximately 2 hours.
We’re looking forward to seeing everyone out enjoying our beautiful city this 4th of July. Many local restaurants and businesses are planning to stay open especially for the parade and will be offering specials. Please note that the parade route has changed for 2017
NEW ROUTE for 2017
This year the parade will start with staging on SW 153rd between Ambaum Blvd. and 4th Ave SW. Then it will continue on SW 153rd moving east to 2nd Ave SW where it will turn left onto 2nd Ave SW. Once it reaches SW 152nd St, it will continue west to 4th Ave SW, turning right onto 4th. Following 4th Ave SW to 5th Ave SW it will curve around Town Square on 5th Ave SW and turn right onto SW 152nd St again. Following west along SW 152nd St it will finish at 8th Ave SW and disband on 8th Ave SW.
Please be sure to get a great seat along the parade route described and arrive early to ensure the best viewing location for you and your family.
