As believers we know the price Jesus paid for our freedom but not all of our brothers and sisters have experienced what it means to truly be free.

February marks Black History Month and not only do we honor the men and woman who helped change our world for the better but those who continue the fight against ignorance, inequality, racism, fear and hate.

History is important.  Marcus Garvey, an African American activist once said “A people without the knowledge of their past history, origin and culture is like a tree without roots.” By studying our past we can create a better future for our children and grandchildren. “We the People" are a proud nation founded on the principles of freedom and democracy, but we cannot forget nor ignore the dark underbelly of our past. Black History Month is more than a celebration of the many accomplishments made by African-Americans; it’s a reminder of where we as a country have been and where we hope to go.

There is neither Jew nor Gentile, neither slave nor free, nor is there male and female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus. Galatians 3:28

  • Ana is a lot like you. She enjoys sharing stories that are uplifting and bring joy. She is proud of her father, uncle and husband who have all served in the military. She loves baking cookies and banana bread with her daughters Lucy and Kennedy or snuggling with them on the couch watching a good movie. She is very active and enjoys snowboarding and walking the family pug, Geno. Tune in on-air to hear more from Ana!

  • After scrolling through Mandisa's Facebook profile, it's pretty easy to see that her week has been jam packed. It's no surprise with her new album, "Out of the Dark" releasing May 19th. Despite her busy days in New York, it does look like she's had a blast.
