    Hi Sarah
Thanks so much for being the blessing you are on the daytime show! I listen to 105.3 every day and I happened to hear the story you shared today (2/11/14) about your daughter and how you are struggling to stay on top of the weekly reading evaluations you need to do for your daughter's teacher. I have a suggestion. At my church, we have one family with a bunch of kids, and most of the kids struggle with reading. We were encouraged to see last week that one of the youngest is doing great with her reading, her daddy periodically watches her read in order to help her pronounces the words. She is in kindergarten I think. I know that you said your daughter is a great reader, so I was thinking, maybe if you periodically read some parts of her books with her, then she will get excited that you are reading with her, and you will know more of the content of the books so it will take less time to complete the parent reports (we all know as parents how challenging it is sometimes to find the time to participate in our child's school!) You are an awesome mom and thanks for sharing your story! Hope this helps!

    Blessings,
    Kevin Hawkins

  • Make The Call

“I need to call my friend and have lunch, it’s been way too long!” I think this and then forget. Does this ever happen to you? I regret this happening to me all too much in the past 7 years. Since I got married and had kids life is like one big tornado! My excuses are that I’m just too tired tonight, or I can’t because this week is crazy, my kids have too many activities, or my husband works a lot and I feel guilty taking the time, plus I just can’t spend the money. Any of these sound familiar? The thing is what if that person is no longer there to call? Read More
