Clearing Up Your Stuffiness

Ahh-choo!! With cold and flu season in full swing, a lot of us are struggling with the all too familiar symptoms; sneezing, coughing, stuffy nose, fever and pounding headache.  All we can think of is, “Oh I wish I could get some relief and feel better soon!”

It’s sort of similar when we’re spiritually unhealthy.  Maybe you feel like your relationship with God is kind of clogged up.  You sense that something is in the way of being really connected to Him.

Well, Christianity is not about religion.  It’s about a relationship with Jesus Christ.  And relationships take time and work.

So, take some time to be alone with Him in prayer and reading your bible. When you truly turn your life over to Him, you’ll see that relief is not only on the way…. relief is spelled J-E-S-U-S and He’s already here!

“Search me, God, and know my heart; test me and know my anxious thoughts.
See if there is any offensive way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting.”
Psalm 139:23-24

Love,
Martha

When I reflect on these verses, it awakens my reverence for His everlasting Goodness!
He alone is Good and only Yahweh is omniscient! I discovered when I had a Hebrew
Greek study bible that the phrase translated Offensive way literally
means "way of pain." That fact made me appreciate His Healing and everlasting
Nature! He is the answer to anxiety and troubled thinking!

I was discussing the holiday with a coworker the other day, and we began joking that perhaps what many of our tables need is an extra seat for a licensed family therapist to mediate. “Yes,” he laughed, “they could wear a referee shirt! With a whistle!” Read More
