The Gift of Perspective

Ever have a day of level 10 reactions to level 2 situations? I kinda live in that space. What do you meaaaan you can’t find your shoes!?! Where are my keeeeeys???

Perspective often squelches my overreactions. For example, my cousin Allison and her husband recently sold their home and moved to Haiti.  Allison works at a clinic with very sick children. She said last week as she went to bed, she saw 40 people sleeping outside the clinic just to make sure they got seen the next morning.

Today my focus is slowing down enough to see what really demands my time, energy, and effort.

I had a tough day yesterday and my faith and patience were definitely being tested. I also being from a 3rd world country where these situations your sisterprayers sees are as real as day for me; my attitude should be of praise and thanks giving in ALL THINGS. Thank you for reminding us Sarah.

Here are some encouraging scriptures to remember as the days become busy. It can be very challenging some days. So pray in the morning and through the day for God to guide your way. You’ll be blessed to see what God has for you everyday that you might miss without him.

When did Jesus pray and have time alone, read:
    ~
Mark 001:035 And in the morning, rising up a great while before day, he went out, and departed into a solitary place, and there prayed.
    ~
Psa 005:003 My voice shalt thou hear in the morning, O LORD; in the morning will I direct my prayer unto thee, and will look up.

Psa 086:012 I will praise thee, O Lord my God, with all my heart: and I will glorify thy name for evermore.

Psa 119:165 Great peace have they which love thy law: and nothing shall offend them.

John 014:027 Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.

    Pro 002:010 When wisdom entereth into thine heart, and knowledge is pleasant unto thy soul;
Pro 002:011 Discretion shall preserve thee, understanding shall keep thee:

2Co 002:014 Now thanks be unto God, which always causeth us to triumph in Christ, and maketh manifest the savour of his knowledge by us in every place.

1Peter 003:004 But let it be the hidden man of the heart, in that which is not corruptible, even the ornament of a meek and quiet spirit, which is in the sight of God of great price.

Joh 017:009 I pray for them: I pray not for the world, but for them which thou hast given me; for they are thine.
Joh 017:010 And all mine are thine, and thine are mine; and I am glorified in them.
Joh 017:011 And now I am no more in the world, but these are in the world, and I come to thee. Holy Father, keep through thine own name those whom thou hast given me, that they may be one, as we are.
