Some Memories Are Made

Some memories are made

Others simply happen with little planning. Like my daughters’ first Mariners game, on a perfect-weather weekend. The girls were wide-eyed in their double stroller, rolling through the stadium gate, trying to comprehend all the sounds, kiosks, smells, and the bustling crowd, surrounding the expansive green field, where tiny players were warming up. What a thrill that they had a good time all the way through the 7th inning! My wife and I had agreed, going in, that 2 innings would be officially considered a triumph! Turned out the game was only the first half of a whole day out in the sunshine. When we got home that evening, I carried sleeping-Annaleigh from the car to her bed, whispering in her ear “Thank you for the gift you gave me today.”
